baseLINE · Twitch & OBS Setup

Twitch placements and OBS Browser Sources are different connections. Set up the ones your channel needs.

Overview

These Twitch extension placements are managed in Twitch Creator Dashboard and can be enabled independently. The optional OBS Browser Source is separate and is not a Twitch extension placement.

Twitch Bits experiences stay inside Twitch and are not mirrored into the OBS crypto-alert source. Viewers do not need a crypto wallet to use Twitch Bits.

First time here?

Start with the Viewer Guide if you are watching a stream, or the Streamer Getting Started guide if you own the channel.

Open Twitch Extension Manager ↗

After installing baseLINE, use Configure in Twitch for channel appearance, Bits availability, and your channel-specific OBS link. Wallet and crypto features are separate from Twitch Bits.

Panel Setup

The Panel appears below your stream in a panel slot (where you put About, Schedule, etc.). This is the primary surface for viewer interaction.

Enable the Panel

  1. Go to your Twitch Creator Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Content → Extensions.
  3. Find baseLINE in My Extensions.
  4. Click Activate and select Panel.
  5. The panel now appears below your stream for all viewers.

Open Twitch Extension Manager ↗ · Then choose My Extensions → baseLINE → Configure.

What You See (When Logged In)

Optional OBS Browser Source

This is a separate website Browser Source, not Twitch’s Video Overlay placement. It displays this channel’s eligible crypto-tip alerts. The full Browser Source canvas is transparent; while idle it does not cover gameplay. An alert card appears only when an eligible event arrives. Twitch Bits effects remain inside Twitch and are not shown by this source.

Set up your channel-specific source

  1. In OBS, right-click Sources → Add → Browser.
  2. Name it baseLINE Alerts.
  3. In Twitch Creator Dashboard → Extensions → My Extensions, open baseLINE’s authorized Configure page and copy your channel-specific OBS link. Do not construct or borrow a URL manually.
  4. Paste that link into the Browser Source URL field. Set width and height to match your OBS canvas (for example, 1920 × 1080).
  5. In the OBS Sources list, move baseLINE above Game Capture so alerts render in front. Keep any always-on elements you want above alerts higher in the list.
  6. Click OK and check that the idle source leaves the game visible. The page background is transparent; the alert card is the only visible panel.

Use the link from your own authorized Configure page. It identifies a channel’s alert stream; it is not a wallet key or broadcaster sign-in. Do not reuse another channel’s link or treat this URL as a secret signing credential.

Configure in Streamlabs

  1. In Streamlabs, go to Sources → + → Browser Source.
  2. Paste your own channel-specific link copied from Twitch’s authorized baseLINE Configure page.
  3. Match the source dimensions to your canvas, then place the source above your game capture.

Customize the Twitch player

In Twitch’s authorized baseLINE Configure page, choose one of the offered color themes and font styles, and enable or disable the fixed Bits experiences. Those settings are saved for the broadcaster and supplied to that channel’s Twitch extension surfaces. OBS alert presentation is separate.

Component Setup

The Twitch Component is rendered inside the Twitch player. Activate the Component placement from Twitch’s extension controls; it does not require OBS.

Enable the Component

  1. Go to your Twitch Creator Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Content → Extensions.
  3. Find baseLINE and click Activate.
  4. Select Component as the surface.

Use Twitch’s placement controls to choose the position and availability for your channel. Preview the extension in Twitch before going live.

Twitch Video Overlay

This is a Twitch extension placement drawn over the Twitch video player. Enable it from Twitch’s extension controls. It is not an OBS Browser Source and does not need to be added to your OBS Sources list.

Mobile Setup

The Twitch mobile experience is separate from OBS. Twitch determines when and where its mobile extension placement is available; the baseLINE mobile page does not add a source to your broadcast scene.
